Microneedling: Advanced Collagen Stimulation for Smoother, Healthier Skin
Microneedling, also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy, is an advanced treatment designed to stimulate the skin’s natural repair process and boost collagen production. At The Facial Room, we use the EXCEED device—recognised as the world’s first double FDA-cleared microneedling system—clinically proven to improve acne scarring, skin laxity, uneven texture and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
This safe and effective treatment delivers powerful, visible results over a course of sessions, helping to strengthen, refine and rejuvenate the skin.
Engineered and manufactured in Germany, EXCEED is renowned for its exceptional quality, precision and safety standards. As one of the most advanced microneedling devices available, it allows for consistent, controlled treatments with optimal results.
How microneedling Works
Skin needling works by creating tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin’s surface. These micro-channels trigger the skin’s natural repair mechanisms, stimulating the production of fresh collagen and elastin.
This process helps to:
- Improve skin firmness and elasticity
- Smooth uneven skin texture
- Reduce the appearance of acne scars, minimise fine lines and wrinkles
- Improve the appearance of enlarged pores
- Enhance absorption of active skincare ingredients
At The Facial Room, Kylie will customise the treatment depth and technique to suit your skin type and concerns, ensuring safe, targeted results.
Who Can Benefit from Skin Needling?
Skin needling is suitable for a wide range of skin types and is particularly beneficial for individuals looking to improve overall skin quality and long-term skin health.
This treatment can help address concerns such as:
- Acne scars and textured skin
- Fine lines and early signs of ageing
- Enlarged pores
- Uneven skin tone or pigmentation
- Stretch marks
- Dull or tired-looking skin
Because skin needling works by stimulating the skin’s natural regeneration process, it is considered a highly effective non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment.

What to Expect from Skin Needling at The Facial Room
First, Kylie double cleanses and purify the skin with cold plasma to clear any bacteria and prepare the skin for deeper penetration of product. The Exceed™ device is used; using a sterile disposable cartridge with adjustable treatment depth in smooth, circular motions on the skin until the whole area has been treated.
During the treatment specialist serums are applied to the skin which are absorbed through tiny pin-prick micro channels into the dermis where they can deliver active ingredients to address dehydrated, sun-damaged, scarred or hyperpigmented skin.
After needling’ The Dermaroller Silk Face Treatment Mask’ is applied which is drenched in –
- Hyaluronic Acid – Instanly cools and deepy hydrates.
- Vitamin E – Fights free radicals.
- Matrixyl Peptide – Activates the repair process.
